{75th Birthday Celebration}

Grandma Dux is 75!
For her birthday we all decide to pack up our vehicles and drive out to visit her. We gave her a couple weeks notice and off we went. She was thrilled. It was a time to get together as family and to celebrate the Matriarch.

She is such a wonderful loving lady. Full of love, life and laughter. I feel it to be a privilege to be a member of this family and to call her Grandma.

It was the long weekend and the trip was QUICK. We arrived to Grandma's (just outside of Edmonton) at 2:30am and went straight to bed. The next morning we spent the morning visiting and then headed off to West Edmonton Mall. So the question of the day was "why are there Christmas decorations up? Are they just lazy and leave them up all year?" The Answer: They were filming a movie. HA HA. We headed back to Grandma's for Pizza and chit chat. Sunday we had a wonderful BBQ in Grandma's backyard. Sean gave a toast to Grandma which put us all in tears. The weekend was a wonderful memory for all.

We headed back home Monday Morning for the 12 hr drive. The kids did great thanks to a DVD player and it was nice to get home.

At least my Daughter and I knew which camera to look at. lol

I am announcing the merger of my 2 blogs. After much consulting with the experts (Tricia and Angie) I have come to the conclusion that making this blog into my MAIN blog is the right choice. Maintaining 2 blogs is just too much and this way I will be able to post more often, I hope.

This blog will now host my family posts as well as my crafting posts and etc. So this will be your one stop shop for everything MARCY BUCHANAN and FAMILY. ;-)

Enjoy and comment often so I know you care. lol

This picture does not have ALL our family but there is a majority of us here.

(DD's Creation}

My sweet little girl was so thrilled with her creation at school for me for Mother's Day. She could not wait to give it to me and she didn't I got this wonderful gift 2 days before Mother's Day.

CNB described everything about it to me and how she made it and with what. She is my daughter that is for sure. She even played photographer cause mommy has to have a picture of EVERYTHING.

For those that might be interested it was made with colored salt. ;-) AND the heart means "I LOVE YOU".

{Projects in Progress}

I have not disappeared. I have been busy working, when I can, on a couple projects for your viewing pleasure.

As some of you know I have 2 blogs which is not that easy to keep up with. My other blog is very restrictive as to who can see it. The reason for this is I am paranoid to put photos and information of my family and friends on the web for ANYONE to see. Am I just paranoid or do I have a real concern? What are some of your views. In this day and age you can never be TOO careful.

I love the idea of blogging and being able to keep in touch with your friends and family and online friends. I enjoy reading other blogs of those that have similar interests as I do. Don't get me wrong I love the blogging world.

I am considering canceling my other blog. This is why I would like to hear some feedback as to how you all feel about blogging your family and friends. Does anyone know how you can post pictures but make it so that people viewing them can not save them to their computers? Just wondering. Thanks

I spend way too much time on this site, I admit it, but it is just because it is so dang fun. You can post photos and see photos of friends.

I started a group called Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. So get on it sign up with facebook and join the group.

If you are not interested that is ok, just thought I would share this new addiction with you incase you were interested.

{A gift from the Master}

My dear and very TALENTED friend Kristle made this for me. She is so amazing and creates some very wonderful projects. She gave it to me after Regionals in Vancouver. She is always full of wonderful surprises.

She got the elastic at a fabric store and used crystal effects to adhere it to the back. She used a variety of Designer papers to get the desired look.

Love you Kris and thanks for the great notebook and pen.

{What can I say?}

I wish I had something great to post...but nothing much has been happening in my stamp room. I did manage to find a stand for my stamp room to put my tv on. I was happy about that as I only spent $2.50 on it. WOOO HOOO. Garage Sale find. It definatley needs to be sanded and painted but that will happen down the road. For now it is the perfect hieght for my TV and there is a spot for the DVD palyer. YEAH!! I know what is important.

Happy National Scrapbooking day!!

{SU! Regional Seminar}

What a BLAST.

The day started with me being awoken by a knock at the door (7AM). AHHHH my ride was here and I SLEPT IN. Imagine my horror as I quickly got dressed washed and dried my hair. Packed up my swaps and stamping supplies and grabbed my make up bag so I could do my makeup in the car. I must say I did not too bad. 20 minutes and we were off.

We arrived shortly after 8:00 and got our FREE stamp set and supplies for the day. The doors opened and we were off. The swapping was at its finest. You have not lived until you see 100's of women swapping cards at an event. It is CRAZY but great to get all those samples.

The seminar began with Shelley Gardner (founder of SU!) and what else but FREE STAMPS. Who would be the lucky winners and who would so happen to be the first on the list. YOURS TRULY. YEE HAW, I could not believe I WON. We love FREE stamps, and it was a cute baby set which is perfect since I have a wee little one at home.

We stamped lots and learnt some valuable business tips. SU! always puts on a great event and this was my third.
Me and Kristle, see Kris I told you these pictures always Look GOOD

Me and Erin

Part of the gang and a you can see the free stamp set we all got.

After the event we packed up our goodies and off we went to Gastown for dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory. The Diet Coke was flowing and got our energy up.

All in all it was a great day and I met some new friends , got some great swaps and lots of ideas.
